Market Technologies Named Winner of Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces Award For 2018

Exciting times at Market Technologies! My company (you know… the one behind the world-renowned artificial intelligence trading software VantagePoint) announced it is recognized as a 2018 Top Workplace by the Tampa Bay Times. The award, based solely on anonymous surveys completed by employees, places Market Technologies in the top 10 out of 50 companies with less than 150 employees.

Everyone at Market Technologies is excited about this award because it recognizes that employees value having an employer that offers a meaningful and beneficial place to work. Together, we’ve built a culture where people enjoy coming to work and know they can support their families at a company that cares about them and the community we all live in.”

The recognition is based on employee feedback gathered through third-party research company Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey was completed by 35,925 employees across 186 companies. Any employer — public, private, nonprofit or governmental — with at least 50 employees in the area was eligible to participate.

Almost 40 years ago, my father started Market Technologies with the dream of helping people create life-changing wealth. We’ve grown to be a multi-million dollar, Inc. 500, trading software company with customers in more than 120 countries. We could not have created this success without the dedicated employees who have stuck with us. Giving back to them has always been a key to the company’s longevity and prosperity.”

Market Technologies is Featured in The Neighborhood News

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that my company is a family company. It was first started by my dad, software pioneer Louis B. Mendelsohn. Then I started and worked my way through the ranks eventually becoming president. But outside of the family lineage, I have my work family too. Many of whom have worked alongside me for many years. And as we continue to build the company to greater success (due to VantagePoint, the incredibly accurate AI software), more and more media outlets are taking notice.

We’ve just been featured in the local Neighborhood News here in the Tampa Bay area. Take a closer look at what makes Market Technologies so great.

International Book Day Was a Huge Success For the VantagePoint Team

As you probably know, we partnered with Shriners Hospitals for Children last year. The reason for this post is because I wanted to let you know something very special that happened. It was recently International Children’s Book Day and we did something incredible for the kids at Shriners. I gathered the VantagePoint team together and we committed to donating as many books as possible. A few days passed, and we were able to make a huge donation of children’s books for the patients!

Check out the photo! The stack of books is almost taller than me!!

My Interview on The Retirement Lifestyle Summit

Empowering traders is not something I do exclusively in the United States. Me and the entire VantagePoint Team have global reach every day. I was recently interviewed by Ann Nelson, head of the Retirement Summit based in Australia. I shared with her the humble beginnings of our company started by my dad, Louis Mendelsohn, and all the ways AI and the power of VantagePoint can help traders achieve success in the financial markets. The fusion of computers, software, financial markets and artificial intelligence is the foundation of Market Technologies and VantagePoint Software. My dad and I have been at the forefront of this conversation for decades and from the beginning, we’ve always taken a global approach to the markets. And that global approach will never become obsolete no matter what happens with innovation.

Recently, I had the chance to speak with Talk Business 360 about VantagePoint, AI and the future of trading. Hear how VantagePoint came about from my father, Louis Mendelsohn, and the future of Market Technologies with this short video.

Party At Shriners

Giving back is part of what makes my company, Market Technologies, so incredible. Over the weekend, we hosted a party for patients and their families at Tampa Bay Shriners Hospitals for Children. Earlier this year, I announced the partnership with Shriners for Q3 of 2017. Then, later at the company’s quarterly event, I announced the extension of the partnership.

Since forming this partnership, Market Technologies has been donating a portion of its sales to benefit the children at the hospital. Shriners Hospitals for Children has 22 locations in Canada, Mexico and the United States which provide care for children suffering from a wide range of pediatric orthopedic conditions regardless of the families’ ability to pay.

In addition to their ongoing monetary donations to Shriners, Market Technologies sponsored the event for the patients and their families, to provide them with a memorable experience full of happiness. Each patient received a personalized invitation in the mail to the party, with thirteen patients and their families, including twenty-one siblings, in attendance. In addition to a tour of the hospital, the event included food, games, and interactive performances by the popular children’s entertainer, Mr. Tommy.

The party was a huge success, measured by the smiles on the kids’ faces and the positive feedback by the patients, their families as well as the staff of Market Technologies who were in attendance. The event was both heartwarming and rewarding. Joyce, an employee of Market Technologies, said, “I’m very grateful to work for a company that believes in giving back.”

Partnership With Shriners Announced

I had the privilege to announce to a crowd of Market Technologies employees and Shriners Hospital representatives that a portion of all sales the trading software company makes during the third quarter of 2017 will be donated to the children’s hospital through an event to be held later this year.

True giving is when you give without any expectation of anything in return. We wanted to do something that would allow everyone in this room to experience the joy of giving.

Since 2007, my family and Market Technologies have donated more than $592,000 to local and national non-profit organizations thanks largely to the success it provides to nearly 25,000 customers.

“With what you all are going to do, it’s going to make a huge impact in so many lives,” said Leigh Dittman, a senior at Gaither High School who was invited to attend the event. Dittman was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, commonly known as brittle bone disease, and has been a patient at Shriners’ Tampa location for most of her life.

Shriners Hospital for Children has 22 locations in Canada, Mexico and the United States and provides care for children suffering from a wide range of pediatric orthopedic conditions, regardless of the families’ ability to pay.
